The Traffic Group ...
The Traffic Group, which has more than twenty years operates in the sports
marketing, has created in 2005, a football club-company - Desportivo Brasil. In
order to train and prepare young football talents to work in professional clubs
in Brazil and abroad, the company will offer a total training to boys aged 13 to
20 years. This preparing includes the training, physical improving,
psychological and educational development for the formation of a highly skilled
player and who is also differentiated of the other players.
"With this training, we are going to contribute for the technical and
educational formation of young athletes, offering condition so they can be
differentiated from other players. In addition, the training of these boys, in
general, will give them the opportunity of a brighter future , even if not as a
Professional football player", says Felipe Lobo Faro, football manager of
Traffic Group.
Desportivo Brasil, founded on November 19th of 2005, is part of a strategy of
the Traffic Group comprising two independent projects with focus in the area of
football, which can also work together, providing great synergy. Besides the new
club, the other initiatives of the company are: buying a franchise of a
professional football team in the United States, Miami FC, and the partnership
with Estoril, from Portugal.
In addition to these initiatives, the Manchester United Academy joined
Desportivo Brasil for a partnership in football that will allow the exchange of
athletes from both clubs, the opportunity to try new methods of training and
also the participation in friendly matches.
Desportivo Brasil is located in Porto Feliz, countryside of São Paulo. Traffic
Academy holds around 200 people and became a reference in the country because of
its structure
TRAFFIC ACADEMY

Desportivo Brasil
house (Brazil Sports house) is the headquarters of Traffic Football
Academy, located in Porto Feliz, 100 km from São Paulo. It has seven
fields, facilities for 144 athletes and a complete infrastructure
for developing a professional football player. Soon we will expand
this experience to other Brazilian regions.

Fields The Academy boasts a 156 thousand m²
area by Marechal Rondon Highway. It comprises five official
size fields and two for specific training, and leading edge
technology was used for their construction, including Tifton
419 lawn, for high density sports activities, drainage and
automatic irrigation.

Facilities The Academy’s main building, an
area of more than 4 thousand m² in two floors, comfortably
lodges 144 athletes and 48 technical committee members and
is equipped with common and leisure areas, separated for
amateurs and professionals, which comprise leisure rooms, TV
rooms and computer rooms.

Work Out The main building also includes a
modern workout and physical recovery center. This gym
assembled by Life Fitness with leading edge equipment works
jointly with the facilities for doctors, physical therapists
and physiologists. The center also includes an indoor,
heated swimming pool and a cryotherapy unit.

Nourishment Traffic Football Academy’s
kitchen, built according to expert consulting, boasts a
five-star hotel standard – with refrigerating chambers, comb
ovens, cooking central island – and comply with all Anvisa
and Vigilância Sanitária (Government organs) norms.
Athletes’ menu is supervised by specialized nutritionists.
 Environmental Responsability
Traffic’s
concerns with health and the environment encompass the
rational use of water and power in the whole TC. Rain water
as well as that used for lawn irrigation and public areas
washing is treated and reutilized. Sewer treatment is also
completely made internally. Besides, the Academy utilizes
three energy sources: solar, gas and electric.

Education Players from Sub-15, Sub-17 and
Sub-20 leagues are required to go to school in Porto Feliz
and take part, in the Academy’s auditorium, of
extracurricular activities such as foreign language classes,
etiquette and basic notions of personal economy. Besides
that, all athletes while interned in the TC have access to
computers and the library.
